Hispanic and/or women farmers or ranchers can request claims package
Placeholder Image

Eric B. Banks, state conservationist for the Natural Resources Conservation Service, reminds hispanics and women farmers and ranchers about an announcement made a few months ago by U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack.
If you believe that USDA improperly denied farm loan benefits to you between 1981 and 2000 because you are hispanic or female, you can request a claims package by calling 1-888-508-4429 or visiting www.farmerclaims.gov. USDA is an equal opportunity provider and employer.
Anyone who wants to request the claims package and needs assistance to make the request should stop by any USDA office and ask for help.
