The Cottonwood Extension District, Great Bend office has partnered with the Pesticide Safety and integrated pest management program to host an upcoming training course. The course will be a part of Commercial Pesticide Applicator Recertification training. The focus of this training will be Ag Wildlife damage control.

The event is planned for Thursday Oct. 12, at the Front Door Community Center. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. The upcoming meeting will allow participants an opportunity to receive the needed pest management credits to renew their commercial applicator license in the Ag Wildlife category. It will provide additional education on the safe application of pesticides used to control prairie dogs and stewardship practices. Certified applicators in the area who need their core hour are welcome to attend that part of the program. The registration fee for the entire training is $60.00.

If you are interested in more information on how to register e-mail fmiller@ksu.edu or call the Pesticide Safety and IPM program at 620-241-1523.
