The Angels Care Home Health office in Russell hosted this week’s Great Bend Chamber of Commerce Coffee, with Account Executive Tyler Dougherty describing some of the services they offer in a 19-county area.
This Medicare-certified home health agency provides quality and cost-effective home health services. Under the direction of the patient’s physician, staff administer medical services, such as skilled nursing, restorative therapy and medical social services, to the patient while strictly adhering to their physician’s plan of care.
Dougherty was joined by a few Angels Care staff, including Stacey Prosser Beck, LPN, from Claflin, and Kathy Hines from Ellinwood. Two weeks ago at the corporate conference representing offices from 14 states, Beck won Angels Care Home Health’s National Nurse of the Year award.
Angels Care offers skilled nursing in the home, which may include things most people don’t think of, Dougherty said.
“Honestly, as long as there’s a skilled need, we can be there.” To qualify, a patient must have a “skilled need” – something a nurse can provide – and be homebound. That doesn’t mean someone who can’t leave home, he added. “Homebound is when it’s a taxing effort to leave your home.”
