BTI (Bucklin Tractor & Implement Co.) headquartered in Bucklin, now has a brand new John Deere dealership open in Pratt.
BTI bought Mid-Co Implement in Pratt in 2007. Since then, 17 employees were hired and business had outgrown the buildings. The new 50,000 square-foot facility is located approximately one mile south of the previous building, still off of Highway 281 north of Pratt. With 20 25’ shop bays, area farmers and residents can now expect better equipment servicing as well. BTI now feels we are adequately prepared for the upcoming years with a large showroom, two-story offices and parts storage, community conference room, and more acres to display equipment.
As of today, employees are still moving in offices and equipment. The official Grand Opening for the dealership will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, May 7th. Guests will be able to register for prizes, view John Deere equipment videos, and play in the kids’ area. The Grand Opening will also feature an antique tractor show in our new shop along with lunch. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will start at 11:30 a.m.
Bucklin Tractor & Implement was founded in 1944 to provide customers with a full-service John Deere dealership. BTI now owns four stores in southwestern Kansas in Bucklin, Greensburg, Ness City, and Pratt. They also offer a range of not only John Deere equipment, but specialty equipment such as Sunflower, Kinze, Landoll, and Unverferth.
