LARNED – Comfort Pro recently celebrated the grand opening of their new showroom in Larned with a Chamber Ribbon Cutting ceremony. Located at 301 W. 14th Street, the new facility has been renovated to make room for new staff and new services.

“My grandfather graduated from Larned High School in the 1940s, so the Larned community is important to me and my family,” said Barry Stalcup, owner of Comfort Pro. “We have invested quite a bit into this new facility, and we are excited to have a local receptionist with a showroom open five days per week.”

More than 80 people attended the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony, where Stalcup introduced the local staff and talked about the company’s growth since it was founded in 2008.

“Comfort Pro started with just me and a van working out of my garage,” Stalcup said. “After a few years and a few more employees, I was able to purchase M&F Plumbing which was founded right here in Larned in the 1950s. Those roots are strong, and we are excited to have a big presence here again. ”

Today, Comfort Pro has over 25 vans providing plumbing and HVAC to communities all over central and western Kansas with store locations in Great Bend, Larned, and Russell.
