The new Equity Bank building at 4101 10th St. was showcased Thursday at a Great Bend Chamber of Commerce Coffee.
“We’re happy to be here,” Branch Manager Christine Klima said.
This followed by the April 20 ribbon-cutting ceremony where it was noted that the new facility serves as a regional hub designed to better support customers throughout central Kansas. Equity Bank is a full-service financial institution offering a comprehensive suite of consumer and commercial banking services. Founded in 2002, the bank now serves more than 190,000 account holders across over 80 locations in six states, including Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Iowa, and Arkansas. Their team is committed to helping families and businesses achieve their financial goals while building lasting relationships within the communities they serve.
The opening of the Great Bend location marks a significant milestone following Equity Bank’s acquisition of American State Bank in 2021. After several years of strategic planning, the new state-of-the-art facility reflects the organization’s long-term investment in the region and its commitment to delivering high-quality, accessible banking services.
Equity Bank’s Great Bend team includes local retail and lending professionals who are actively engaged in the community and proud to call the area home. Their continued involvement and dedication contribute to the strength and growth of the Central Kansas region.
Community members are encouraged to visit the new location or learn more by calling 620-793-5900 or visiting www.equitybank.com.
Great Bend Chamber announcements
- The Barton Alumni and Friends Association will host trivia night at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 6. Test your knowledge of the college. Lindsey Bogner with the Barton Foundation reminded chamber members that part of this new group’s name is “Friends.” “Even if you are not a Barton alum, we would love to have you there. It’s multiple choice, so you can still get some right. We’ve got some really cool door prizes. The best team is going to get some cool alumni swag.”
Bogner also mentioned the Endowment Concert at 6:30 p.m. on May 12 at the Fine Arts Building. The concert raises funds for student scholarships in the fine and performing arts. This year they have added a dessert and wine reception immediately following the concert. For information contact Eric Foley at foley@bartonccc.edu.
- The next Chamber Coffee will be at 9 a.m. Thursday, May 7, at the Great Bend Chamber, 1125 Williams St. It will be hosted by Avast Ye Java Coffee Truck.
