Brian Oller
Sunflower Electric Power Corp. (Sunflower) has promoted Brian Oller to manager of maintenance.
Oller will be responsible for managing centralized maintenance of Sunflower’s generation resources. He will establish and manage strategic plans and objectives in support of Sunflower’s maintenance departments and ensure Sunflower’s generation resources are maintained within applicable permits, regulations, standards, and best practices.
A native of Garden City, Oller attended Garden City Community College where he studied pre-engineering. With Sunflower since 2002, he served as the mechanical supervisor and was instrumental in enhancing Sunflower’s maintenance operations.
Oller has a strong mechanical and machining background and oversaw Sunflower’s vibration analysis program, earning his Category III certification from The Vibration Institute.
He was involved with a recent teardown, inspection, and repair of Sunflower’s steam turbine and generator at the Garden City Station and was instrumental in coordinating significant, maintenance-related projects for Holcomb Station’s maintenance outage.

Oller and his wife, Stacy, live in Garden City. They recently welcomed their first granddaughter to the family and enjoy watching her learn and grow. He also enjoys riding motorcycles with fellow riders in their Ride and Dine group.
Len Couture
Sunflower Electric Power Corporation announced the promotion of Len Couture to manager of substation operations.
In his new role, Couture will manage the construction, repair, and maintenance of Sunflower’s substation systems while ensuring proper planning and coordination with internal and external entities.
A native of Plainville, Couture obtained a technical degree in electronics from Wichita Automotive and Electronics Institute in Wichita. He began his career at Sunflower in 2007 as a senior substation technician and was promoted to substation supervisor in 2013. Couture has been instrumental in working with Sunflower’s member utilities to meet their business needs.
Couture and his wife, Maryanne, live in Great Bend. They have two adult daughters, Jessica and Kelsey.
