Celeste Vonfeldt of Great Bend will celebrate her 87th birthday with a reception from 1:30 to  4 p.m. on March 20 at River Bend Assisted Living, 3820 Broadway. This will be a card party with cake and ice cream.
Celeste Vonfeldt was born on Feb. 21, 1924 in Walker. She married Raymond Vonfeldt. He died on April 19, 1997. A resident of Albert, she was a loving wife and wonderful mother. She has five children, Mary and Jim Snider of Jefferson City, Mo., Tom and Nancy Vonfeldt of Lincoln, Neb., Stan and Nancy Vonfeldt of Parker, Colo. Charlene and John Hickey of Olmitz, and Raeann and Tom Zorko of Omaha, Neb. ;  and eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
