Helen Mayers Blado of Great Bend, will celebrate her 90th birthday on June 5 with a card shower.
Helena Anna Pahls was born to Casper and Anna Pahls on June 5, 1921 in Tipton. She married Virgil Mayers in Riverside, Calif. Together they had seven children, Virginia (Rex) Ramey, Vivian Comer Pavlacka, Joe Mayers, Frank (Jolene) Mayers, John (Marie) Mayers, Barbara (Allyn) File, and Steven (Roxanne) Mayers.  Virgil, her son Steve, and grandson Adam have passed on. Her time is shared with 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren (with three more due this year), and three great-great-grandchildren. Helen lives at home with her son Joe and continues to enjoy her bingo nights.
