Michael J. Keenan of Great Bend will celebrate his 80th birthday with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. on Oct. 9 at 1409 Main Street. Family and friends are invited. Hosts for the event will be his children, Evan and Nicki Keenan of Spring, Texas, Valerie and Mark Hardy of Sherman, Texas and Kent and Roxann Keenan of Great Bend.
Mike was born on Oct. 7, 1930 in Great Bend to William and Flora Keenan. After retiring from PMI, he now spends his time working on rentals. On Sept. 16, 1951 he married Myrla Walter. He has nine grandchildren, Cory Keenan, Megan Keenan, Morgan Dancy, Kristin Dancy, Brooke Corbin, Austin Hardy, Ryan Hardy, Andrew Keenan, and Adam Keenan; and a great-grandchild, Kenli Hardy.
