Shirley J. Link of Great Bend celebrated her 80th birthday on Nov. 17th.
Shirley Wallace was born on Nov. 17, 1931 in Denver, Colo. On March 27, 1951 she married Kenneth Link in Bushton. They have three daughters, Linda Meyeres and Jim, of Chase, Denise Barbour and Jack, of San Angelo, Texas, Rita Bownes and Lynn and daughter-in-law Janis Link, both of Great Bend; seven grandchildren, Mike Link, Steven Link, Jason Meyeres, Jamee Kizzar, Ryan Bownes, Derek
Bownes and Kalesha Bownes; seven great-grandchildren; and two stepgreatgrandchildren. Two sons, the late Mark Link, passed away July 2000, and the late Kent Link, passed away at birth.
