The Barton County Association of Retired School Personnel met on May 10, at Montana Mike’s in Great Bend. President Sally O’Connor presided over the meeting. There were 50 members and two guests present.
Curtis Wolf from the Wetlands Center for Education presented a very informative program on activities at the Center and how the drought is affecting Cheyenne Bottoms and the bird population.
Members were encouraged to attend the state convention in Hutchinson, June 12-14.
All retired school personnel in Barton County are invited and encouraged to become involved in the local group. The next meeting will be at 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 13, at Montana Mike’s.
Retired school personnel are invited to get involved and guests are always welcome.
