Great Bend High School senior, Nathan Brungardt, has attained Eagle Scout, the highest Boy Scout advancement. He joined Cub Scout Pack #157 in 2001 and in 2007 crossed over to Boy Scout Troop #157, led by Steve Divis. His Eagle Scout project consisted of converting an old mule barn at the Great Bend Zoo into an enclosed housing for the owls. All materials for his project were recycled or donated.
Nathan recently attended the Quivira Council Annual Dinner, hosted in Wichita, in recognition of his achievement.
He is the son of Dan and Bev Brungardt.
