Parnassus Club meeting

The April meeting of Parnassus Club met at the home of Darlene Boley.  President Coralie Button presided over the business meeting. The club will continue the study of the Tone Poem for the 2015-2016 year. Club members heard presentations by four of the audition winners.
Piano winner Kaylyn Oberle, student of Karole Erikson, played Sonata in G major - 1st movement Allegretto Innocente, by Haydn. Aubrey Maneth, student of Betty Erikson, was a winner in the voice division. She sang The Ke,by Dougherty and The Mermaid Song, by Haydn.  Allison Muth, student of Glenna Gaunt, performed Into the Night, by Edwards and Piercing Eyes, by Haydn. Another audition winner was Sarah Keller, student of Glenna Gaunt, singing May Day Carol, by Taylor and Under the Greenwood Tree, by Ame.
A lunch at a local restaurant will be the last meeting for the club until fall.

The Pilot Club of Great Bend recently installed its new executive board for the 2018-2019 year. The include directors Jari Marietta, Ros Neeland, Nancy Sundahl, Judi Fox, and Treasurer Betty Schneider, Corresponding Secretary Norma Ward, Vice-President Nicci Henderson, President–elect Marcia Johnson, President Rhonda Knudson and Recording Secretary Sally O’Connor.Pilot club is an international civic organization established in 1921 with a focus on education and support and prevention of brain-related disorders and injuries of all types. The mission of Pilot International is to influence positive change in communities throughout the world.
