Preceptor Pi chapter of Beta Sigma Phi had its annual Christmas dinner meeting Dec. 12 at the home of Janis Link. Members met for soup, cheese and crackers, and dessert. They also placed Christmas gifts in gift bags to be given to the girls at the Girls’ Home, Barton County Youth Care, Inc. Gifts included games, popcorn, makeup kits and lotion/socks gift sets for the 10 girls.
Members will bring socks to place in the box located on Hubbard Street that is stocked with canned goods, warm clothing, etc., offered free to those who need those items and can’t always afford them. The chapter is also planning a social for members sometime in January.
Preceptor Pi’s Reception Sisters continue their fund-raising venture assisting with receptions for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays and similar events to raise funds for the chapter’s community service projects. For more information about Reception Sisters, contact Susan Brown, 620-793-5265.
