Progress Club met on April 1 at the home of Judy Fox. Jackie Curtis and Maxie Hinkson were the co-hostesses. There were 18 members in attendance.
Members voted to accept the slate of officers presented by the nominating committee. President will be Norma Ward, vice-president will be Judy Fox, secretary will be Pat Klusener, and treasurer will be Darlene Mathers.
Members voted to contribute $100 to the Beautification Committee project at the post office.
Lily Akins, director of the Barton County Health Department, gave an interesting program detailing the work of the department. She gave statistics and information about public health and how it impacts all of our lives.
A salad luncheon will be held at the home of Judy Turner on May 6th. The meal will be at 11:30 a.m.
