Thomas Demel of Hoisington will celebrate his 85th birthday on Feb. 21 with a card shower. 

Tom was born Feb. 21, 1937 on a farm near Odin. He married Darleen Graves on May 6, 1961. They have three children: Janet and Shawn Jonas, Hoisington; Tammy and Pete Burke, Campbell, Texas; and Tom and Brenda Demel, Wichita; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
