Eileen Bayer will celebrate her 90th birthday with a reception and card shower from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on May 5, at Immanuel United Church of Christ, 701 N. Fritz Avenue in Ellinwood. Hosts for the event will be her son Greg Bayer and nieces and nephews. No gifts are requested. 

Eileen was born on May 6, 1929, in Lyons to Ernest and Maye Irvin. On April 10, 1949, she married Donald Bayer and moved to the farm near Radium where she was a typical farm wife.
