Chianna Henken, Larned, camp director for Camp Hope, receives a check for $6,000 from Grand Knight David Dreiling, of the Knights of Columbus Council 862 in Great Bend. The camp, in its 44th year, lets children facing cancer step away from their diagnosis and simply be kids, all at no cost to their families. Campers convened at Camp Aldrich on Father’s Day and were there through Saturday June 27. The Council used proceeds from its Third Annual Charity Golf Tournament held June 5 at Lake Barton Golf Course. Henkel is a former camper at Camp Hope, first attending in 1989.
