Library expands printing options
Book Nook.jpg

Greetings from the Great Bend Public Library! We have an announcement about printing at the library. Starting Monday, May 2, all printing from public computers will be handled through Princh. Some of you may already be familiar with Princh as the app that allows you to send print jobs right from your phone. Now all of our public computers will be printing through Princh! The first 10 pages printed will still be free, and each additional page will still be 10¢ each. The biggest change is that you will now be able to pay through the Princh app with a card or PayPal account in addition to paying with cash at the desk. This will also mean that print jobs over 10 pages will need to be paid for before printing will begin. This change will allow for more payment options for our patrons, along with helping reduce waste. We hope you’re as excited as we are about the convenience this will bring for everyone.

Next week’s events

Coming up next week we have Tech Tuesday. If you are needing tech assistance, stop by the library on Tuesday at 11 a.m. for some one-on-one help.

Thursday is a busy day; first we have our reading pet partner Luna here from 3:30 to 5 p.m. This will be her last appearance until summer so be sure to come say hi and read her a story while you can. Then that afternoon at 4 p.m. we have the Crochet Club meeting. Chat and work on your projects, or come and see what crochet is all about, all skill levels are welcome. Later that evening is our next Great Bend Silver Screen Society meeting at 7 p.m. This month we will be watching a film starring Leonardo Di Caprio and Kate Winslet, who portray a young couple living in a Connecticut suburb during the mid-1950s struggling to come to terms with the lives they now lead while trying to raise their two children. With dreams of Paris and adventure seemingly behind them, the couple tries to come to terms with how they ended up living the “American dream” they are now so disillusioned with.

For more popcorn and movie magic, join us for our Adults Night Out Movie on Friday starting at 7 p.m. Come enjoy one of the newest Marvel movies, featuring the master of kung fu, Shang Chi. Shang-Chi must confront his past, one he thought he left far behind him, when he’s drawn in by the mysterious Ten Rings organization. To find out more information on either of these movies or events please check out our website, listed below.
