THE SKY I have never jumped out of an airplane and due to my girthy nature, I'm not sure I'm going to anytime soon. But this video of 217 skydivers jumping at the same time makes me want to participate in something this awesome.
More than 200 daredevils jumped out of 10 planes at the same time at the Sequential Games in Eloy, Arizona near the end of October. The jump was an attempt to break a world record by making three formations while falling to the earth at 120 miles per hour.
The video is pretty incredible to watch as these skydivers plummet to the earth while still making these formations and staying in complete control. That is, all except that one guy who flies right by everybody else. You can see him at the bottom of the screen a little to the right. Hopefully, it was another cameraman who wanted to get a shot of the formations from underneath, but it also looks like he was supposed to be a part of the formation and just overshot a bit.
If that's what happened I'm guessing he got a lot of, "Way to ruin it for us, Dave." But again, maybe Dave was a cameraman and did his job perfectly. It's funnier to me, though, if he just got a little too excited. I'm a jerk like that.
Even if Dave missed his mark, this is an incredible video and no one's really blaming him. You're still a good guy, Dave, keep your chin up.
