Kansas Originals Market & Gallery of Wilson invites all Kansas Artists eighteen or over to enter the first Annual Kansas Smallworks Fine Art & Mixed Media Art Show. The show will be unique in that all entries are limited in size to a maximum of 10” x 10” which should include the frame, pedestal or any adornment. Entries will be accepted until Feb. 9, and will be on display at Kansas Originals Market & Gallery at Wilson from Feb. 14, through April 18.
The show will give Kansas Artists the opportunity to showcase their work and will give the general public the opportunity to see a variety of Kansas Art. Entries are limited to two pieces per artist with an entry fee of $10 for each piece. Only the first 70 entries will be accepted. The Artists may offer their artwork for sale. First place in the show will be awarded $100. Second Place will receive $50 and People’s Choice will receive a $50 Kansas Originals gift certificate. Winners will be posted at the beginning of the show and prizes will be awarded at the Annual Meeting of the Post Rock Opportunities Foundation on April 18, the closing date of the show.
The show is sponsored by the Post Rock Opportunities Foundation, which operates Kansas Originals Market & Gallery locations at Wilson and Topeka, Kansas. Kansas Originals is the largest such store in the state for Kansas-made products, representing over 200 member artists craftsmen, authors, and food producers.
