William Fields

Student Library Assistant Madison Dombroski will focus on different Ellinwood High School seniors throughout the year to spotlight, and this will be featured in our Check It Out column. Today we have two Senior Spotlights, William Fields and Tanner Poteet.

William Fields is a senior at EHS. His family members are Markus, Lucian, Shadow and Marcia. He would recommend the book “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days.” His favorite quote is, “I’d rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not,” by Kurt Cobain.

His greatest challenge is that he had a really hard time trying to fit in when he was younger. He thought that he needed to be friends with everyone just to feel accepted, but he realized he didn’t need others’ acceptance, just his own. A cause that William is passionate about is showing kindness; it doesn’t hurt to show someone that you care once in a while.

His plan after graduation is to go to Barton Community College for welding. We wish William a great year in his senior chapter!

Tanner Poteet

Tanner Poteet is a senior at EHS. His family members are his mom, dad, brother, sister, uncle, and grandma. He would recommend the book “I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream.” His favorite quote is “Mmm,monkey,” by Master Oogway.

Tanner’s favorite class is Government because he has lots of opinions. His greatest challenge was overcoming his own laziness. Tanner is passionate about the extrication of mosquitoes. We wish Tanner a great year in his senior chapter!
