Communities Organizing to Promote Equity had several Thanksgiving Day meals covered this year. United Way of Central Kansas board members and United Way agencies volunteered to help COPE organize the food bags Monday evening,  

The 150 bags came with a turkey or ham, and all the traditional fixings including pie. They were handed out from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the Anchor Room in the Central Kansas Dream Center.
