Annual car show roars into town

Rev those engines, the 31st annual Mid-America Car Show roars to life Sunday at Brit Spaugh Park.

The show is open to all makes and models.  

The show is Sunday, May 5 with registration open from  9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Trophies will be awarded at 4 p.m. Car show participants will be voting for the Top 3 in each class.

There is a $25 dollar entry fee per vehicle with $5 from each entry donated to the Kans for Kids Fighting Cancer Foundation.  

Special attractions this year will be a 1983 Chevy Silverado Monster Truck featuring a 5-foot lift kit and 54-inch tires.    

Public viewing begins at noon and there is no charge for spectators. There will also be food available and entertainment by DJ Cain during the show. For more information, call Gary Hertel at 620-786-7059.
