The 5th Annual Storm Co-Ed Benefit Softball Tournament was postponed last weekend. It will be played on Saturday. Teams can still sign up.
The annual tournament benefits the area’s Special Olympics team. It will be played at Veteran’s Fields in Great Bend. Cost of the tournament is $135 per team.
Proceeds from the tournament go toward helping to cover expenses for the Golden Belt area’s team, the Storm, which competes in Special Olympic events throughout the year.
The tournament is played by Amateur Softball Association of America (ASA) rules. For an extra $5 fee, a player can participate in a home run derby. There will be concessions available throughout the tournament.
