Heartland Center for Spirituality in Great Bend will show the movie “Groundhog Day” on Friday, Jan. 31, as part of the continuing Movies with a Message series.
What if you had to live the worst day of your life over and over again? That’s what happened to weather man Phil Murray, who had to relive Groundhog Day in Punxsutawney, Pa., until he finally learned important life lessons in this 1993 movie starring Bill Murray, Andie MacDowell and Chris Elliott. Run time is 101 minutes.
The movie begins at 6:15 p.m. at the Dominican Sister Motherhouse, 3600 Broadway. Refreshments will be served, and there will be discussion time after the movie. A freewill donation is requested. Other movies in the series will include “A man for all Seasons,” “Romero,” and “Babette’s Feast.”
