Russell Co. inmates face federal drug charges

TOPEKA – Two people have been indicted on one charge of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said Thursday.
John Moffat, 52, and Carter Moffat, 26, are being held in the Russell County Jail. The crimes are alleged to have occurred June 26 in Russell County.
 If convicted, they face a penalty of not less than 10 years and not more than life and a fine up to $10 million. The Drug Enforcement Administration investigated. Assistant U.S. Attorney Duston Slinkard is prosecuting.
