Two people were injured Saturday afternoon when the rear passenger tire blew out on westbound car on Interstate 70 in Ellsworth County.
Kansas Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred at 2:50 p.m., 9 miles west of the Ellsworth exit.
The car was a 1999 Isuzu driven by Louise Mary Baker, 42, from Horn Lake, Miss. After the tire blew out, Baker lost control of the vehicle, which rolled one time and came to rest in the median on its wheels. She and passenger Corbett Baker, 50, were taken to the Ellsworth County Medical Center with undetermined injuries. Both were wearing seat belts.
