Barton County Association of Churches is planning its annual soup supper, which will take place from 4:30-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, at the Prince of Peace Parish Center in Great Bend. A freewill donation will be taken, and all can enjoy soup and pie or cake, organizers said. Dine-in and carryout will be available.
Money raised will support the Barton County Emergency Aid Association.
The area churches that comprise the association have five meetings a year to share information among congregations and plan events. In addition to the annual soup supper in October, Barton County Association of Churches sponsors the Unity Service in June, and Lenton Luncheons and Widows Mite during Lent. In May, the association awards a scholarship to a high school student.
