The facilities improvement bond election for Great Bend USD 428 seeks just under $45 million. Voters who live in the boundaries of the school district will receive ballots in the mail next week.
Barton County Clerk Donna Zimmerman said the ballots are scheduled to be mailed Tuesday, Aug. 20. Her office provided some photos of the envelopes and ballots.
The election ends on Thursday, Sept. 5 and all ballots must be returned to the County Clerk’s Office at the Barton County Courthouse by noon on that day. They can be dropped off in person, but the ballots come with self-addressed, stamped envelops and can be dropped in the mail.
Inside the ballot (pictured below) are two questions. Vote “yes” or “no” for Proposition No. 1 and Proposition No. 2.
