Barton Community College’s Agriculture Department invites interested students to learn about career opportunities at the Career Expo from 3-6 p.m. on April 10 in the new Ag and Transportation Complex. During this come-andgo event, instructors will be available to discuss careers in agriculture, agriculture business management, ag mechanics (Top Tech), beef cattle production, commercial driver’s license (CDL), and crop protection. Executive Director of Agriculture and Industry Education Mary Foley said the expo is the perfect time for prospective students to check out the new building and learn more about a career they are interested in. “Barton has so many great opportunities for students interested in a career in agriculture,” she said. “These careers have the potential to keep them close to home, working at the family farm or in a commercial operation, as well as the potential to explore other opportunities.” Program information will be available, and the complex will be open for students to tour.
