BCC music students to present recital

Barton Community College will present a student recital at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 26, in the Dorothy Moses Morrison Chapel, located in the Fine Arts Building, F-157. The recital is free and open to the public.
The recital will involve students of keyboard instructor Karole Erikson, Director of Instrumental Studies Steve Lueth and voice instructor Glenna Gaunt. Barton music students are an eclectic group made up of traditional college students, area high school students enrolled for college credit and area adults studying for their enjoyment.
Performing piano students are Alex Robl, Slade Zamarippa and Steven Cortez of Ellinwood. Jennifer Pfortmiller of Hudson will perform on the organ.
Performing instrumentalists are Abel Prieto of Great Bend on saxophone, Robert Feldt of Great Bend on violin and Steven Cortez of Ellinwood on trombone.
Performing vocalists are Monica Lang, Ethan Wedel, Jesseca Hames, all Great Bend High School students enrolled in Private Voice through Barton, and Alyxius Torres of Great Bend. Vocal songs encompass Italian and English Art songs as well as spiritual songs.
