Barton Community College history instructor Linda McCaffery will teach a course via Barton’s Silver Cougar Club titled “Age of Enlightenment,” 1:30-3:30 p.m. each Tuesday from Jan. 26 through April 5 in room F-129 of the Fine Arts Building.
The class will cover the splendor and paranoia of Louis XVI, the American and French Revolutions and the dictatorship of Napoleon. During this period, Spain crumbles and England rises to status as a world power, while the fledgling American Republic struggles to survive.
Cost for the course will be $32 for Silver Cougar Club members and $100 for non-members. To register, contact Coleen Cape at capec@bartonccc.edu or 620-786-1136.
