Barton Community College art students Leona Kasselman and Deb Clothier will have selections of their art in the Fine Arts Building display cases from now until December. The display cases are located in the lobby of the Fine Arts building.
Clothier is seeking her associate degree to hone her skills as an artist, and said she could see herself teaching at some point, but those are not her only motivations for taking art classes for the past three years.
“It’s very therapeutic,” she said.
Kasselman said she has been taking art classes for “off-and-on for years.”
“I really like being around the kids, and seeing the talent they have, it’s absolutely amazing,” she said. “It keeps me young.”
