The Barton Community College Theater Department will present its take on the theme of love and relationships with the production of "Almost, Maine," at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, in the BCC Fine Arts Auditorium.

"It’s very charming, and I think it will appeal to the audience," BCC Theater Director Erin Renard said of the fall production.

"Almost, Maine" takes place in the winter and is based around nine "mini-plays." Renard believes the structure of the story is one that creates a diverse experience for the audience and a challenge for the cast.

"They really have to learn how to arc a scene, find those ‘moments’ in the scene and really find the true meaning of each scene," Renard said.

Admission is free for all students with an ID (high school or college). Admission for non-students is $7. Tickets are available at the Fine Arts Office or at the box office prior to the performance; doors open at 7 p.m. All seats are general admission.
