The school board will recognize its nominees for Kansas Teacher of the Year at Monday’s Great Bend USD 428 Board of Education meeting. The meeting starts at 5 p.m. at the District Education Center, 201 South Patton Road.

Action items on the agenda include approving a crossing guard partnership with the City of Great Bend, the beverage contract and Kansas Association of School Boards membership renewal. The board will hear the first readings of 2019-2020 student, teacher and athletic/activity handbooks.

An executive session is scheduled to discuss the latest proposal for teacher contracts and another executive session is schedule to discuss an individual employee’s performance.
