The Great Bend USD 428 Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, at the District Education Center, 201 South Patton Road. Superintendent Khris Thexton will provide updated details of the district’s proposed 2918-2019 budget and ask the board to approve publication of the budget in the Great Bend Tribune. The board will also consider whether to renew the contract for audit services with Adams Brown Beran & Ball Chartered for three more years.
