Pictured is oilfield tubing similar to that was stolen from a lease near Hitschman last Thursday.

The Barton County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in solving a theft. Last Thursday, approximately 100 joints of 2 3/8-inch tubing was stolen from an oil lease near Hitschmann in rural Barton County. The loss is estimated to be approximately $10,000.
