The 281 Bypass will be closed to traffic starting sometime Monday, Great Bend city officials said Friday.

The contractor doing the rubblization of concrete will be in town on Monday and will begin work on Tuesday. Venture Corporation plans on setting traffic control and closing the road at that time.

In addition, the pavement marking crew is going to be in town on Thursday to finish the crosswalks, stop bars and the remaining arrows on Washington, 24th and Morton streets.
