United Way of Central Kansas is asking local children to make homemade Valentine’s cards that can be added to 350 Boxes of Love going to homebound senior citizens for Valentine’s Day.

Each box will contain chocolates, hygiene products, word puzzles and the homemade cards.

Valentines can be dropped off at the Great Bend UWCK office, Sunflower Bank in Ellinwood, First Kansas Bank in Hoisington and the Larned Chamber of Commerce office. UWCK Executive Director Charell Owings asks that cards be dropped off by Feb. 2. Pickups can also be arranged. For questions call 620-792-2403.
