Church collecting coats for annual giveaway
A rack of coats is shown from the 2018 Annual Coat Re-Distribution, coordinated by Trinity United Methodist Church. The 2022 call for coats is underway. Gently used, professionally cleaned coats will be given away on October 15. Coats can be dropped off at Master Cleaners or Trinity United Methodist Church, Great Bend, during the remainder of September.

Trinity United Methodist Church is sponsoring its 12th annual coat drive. Community members are invited to donate lightly used coats and jackets through September at Master Cleaners, 4600 10th St. Pl., or at Trinity United Methodist Church, 5700 Broadway Ave.

The coats will be cleaned courtesy of Master Cleaners and a community coat giveaway will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15, at the church. All are welcome to come to the church that day and pick up a free coat.

Karla Essmiller, outreach chairperson at the church, said any coats not given away on Oct. 15 will go to Live Like Jesus Today ministries.
