Citizenship orientation meeting offered
Hoisington City 4-25-23
Hoisington City Council members discuss vacancies on the council at Monday’s meeting.

An orientation meeting for anyone interested in obtaining U.S. Citizenship through Naturalization will be held at the Holiday Inn Room from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28. Retired citizenship instructor Doris Reile will present the program.

“Don’t let your permanent resident card expire. Go the next step to Citizenship,” Reile says. Naturalization is the process by which U.S. citizenship is granted to a lawful permanent resident after meeting the requirements established by Congress in the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA).

Much of the process has changed, Reile said. At this program, forms will be explained, new prices will be reviewed and the complete new set of questions will be presented. A $10 fee will cover the cost of the provided materials: all forms, envelopes, questions, Apps and websites, waivers, document lists, writing practice and additional needed forms.

There will not be classes at this time but personal support will be provided as needed. For additional questions contact Doris Reile by calling 620-791-7314 or email dreile1998@yahoo.com.
