Due to the power outage Sunday night, the City of Great Bend had a drop in water pressure below 20 pounds per square inch. However, the city has been in contact with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment which advised that Great Bend residents do not need to boil their water.
“We will continue to do routine testing and make sure that water levels are safe for consumption,” said Public Works Director Jason Cauley.
