The Barton County Commission will meet Monday morning and the Great Bend City Council will meet Monday evening.

The Barton County Commission will meet at 9 a.m. Monday at the Barton County Courthouse, 1400 Main in Great Bend. The agenda includes the presentation of service awards to city employees, a report from City Administrator Kendal Francis, Public Lands and Public Works department updates, and an economic development report from Great Bend Chamber of Commerce President Jan Peters.

The Great Bend City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the City Office, 1209 Williams. The agenda includes the resignation of Dr. Edward Jones as the county coroner and the appointment of a replacement, appointments to the Solid Waste Planning Committee and reinforced box culverts for the project on the Barton-Pawnee county line.
