The City of Great Bend would announced it will be burning the tree pile at the composite this week. Work started today and could last up to a week to take advantage of the current wind conditions.

The burn area will be monitored by city staff 24 hours a day.

“The City of Great Bend appreciates the patience of the public while this work is performed,” said Street Superintendent James Giles. “It is likely if the wind is right that you might smell or see the smoke.”
