The first meeting of the Great Bend City Council Health Insurance Independent Consultant Selection Committee will take place at 2 p.m. Monday at the City Office. The meeting is open to the public. At its Sept. 4 meeting, the council voted to study hiring a consultant to help the city in bidding its insurance coverage. It named council members Dale Westoff, Dana Dawson and Randy Myers to the committee to make a recommendation. They are joined by three city staff members.
