The Barton County Commission will meet Monday morning and the Great Bend City Council will meet Monday evening.

The Barton County Commission will meet at 9 a.m. Monday at the Barton County Courthouse, 1400 Main in Great Bend. The agenda includes safety improvements at the intersection of North Washington Avenue and North 30 Road, proclamations for National Bike Month and Mental Health Awareness Month, and improvements to the Treasurer’s Office.

The Great Bend City Council will meet first at 4 p.m. Monday at the City Office, 1209 Williams to discuss the compensation study report. After that meeting adjourns, the council will meet again at 6:30 p.m. at the City Office for the regular agenda meeting. That agenda includes: Carpet bids for the Events Center; railroad crossing improvements on Lakin, Forest and Grant; and a report on the 2018 city elections.
