The Barton County Commission will meet Monday morning and the Great Bend City Council will meet Monday evening.
The Barton County Commission will meet at 9 a.m. Monday at the Barton County Courthouse, 1400 Main in Great Bend. The meeting will be open to the public but will also be streamed live due to COVID-19. It will be live-streamed through Microsoft Teams. Citizens may view the meeting through their own sign-in or by signing in anonymously.

The agenda includes the election for chairman and chairman pro tem following the death of Chairman Kenny Schremmer on Thanksgiving, the resignation of County Appraiser Barb Esfeld and the appointment of a successor and the resignation of Information Technology Director John Debes.
The Great Bend City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, at the Great Bend Events Center, 3111 10th St., and the meeting will be open to the public.

The agenda includes the appointment of Steven Haulmark as the new police chief, annual service award presentations and a recreational vehicle ordinance.
