If one’s home or buildings have been damaged by the recent flooding, they can find information about floodplains and Barton County’s floodplain permit process at www.bartoncounty.org under the Engineering Department tab, County Engineer Barry McManaman said.  

If one owns a damaged structure in an unincorporated area of the county and they intend to repair or rebuild the structure, they need to contact the McManaman to discuss the requirements. Floodplain permits for structures that fall within the limits of an incorporated city are handled by the city.
